started with Scruggs about 20 years back , hung up my axe about 2 years later cos all my friends were rockin it up, I traded it in for a sax, later traded that in on a Roland w30 synth/sampler and a 303 groove box, and finally traded back to another banjo a few years ago. (funny how things come full circle) , this banjo sat around for some time till i met my missus. she pesterd me for months to play. when i finaly did i tossed my picks away and started learning clawhammer (about middle of 2008). my only regret is that there was no one that could have shown me clawhammer 20 years ago... things sure would have been different.
