I'm really interested in researching and teaching obscure banjo tunes and tunings, and banjo-specific repertoire. I try to play in a way that respects and springs from tradition, without slavishly imitating it. I also play some minstrel banjo and, in my other life, play West African music on the kora (a 21-string harp) and the n'goni, a lute and banjo ancestor.
