The fact that a banjo ended up in my hands is proof enough for me that God exists. I began playing when a friend handed me a banjo and said, "Here, learn to play this." The things that bring me the greatest pleasure in this life are: my sons, riding a bicycle, riding a pink scooter with my banjo strapped on the seat behind me, playing the banjo through the wee hours of the night, eating raw parsnips and arugula, playing the cello when nobody is listening, jumproping late at night, hiking, animals, collecting data on unsuspecting friends, scuba diving, sea kayaking, music, research methodology, traveling, and the ocean. I am a single mama, I'm working on a PhD at the University of Utah, and I work as a behavioral analyst consultant.
