Is there anybody else out there that's heard how great the "Magnum Banjos" Albums sound? I really like that kind of playing, fiddle tunes and original instrumentals. So we are talking about pickers Ed Brown and Fred Sullivan amongst friends. Bobby Thompson was on the second album. I finally got it recently and have probably listened to it too much already. Can't get those tunes out of my head! I don't think they have re-issued the second LP, but the first one is available from magnumbanjos.com. I got to fiddle with Ed Brown once, just jamming at IBMA 2004. Here is a pic of him then:
