OK so you all know that I am a newbe! Just going on 7 weeks now.
I am no where as good as I would like to be nor have I mastered any songs, Just practicing rolls and a few cord changes, doing my hammer on's and off's and slides...
BUT YOU KNOW WHAT?
I am enjoying the heck out of it! I cannot wait to get home from work to strap that ol Banjo on and practice.
So anyone out there have any advice as to how long it actually take until the hands and brain finaly start to work together and I can start hitting thoes notes right without stopping to look and change the notes? I practice EVERY DAY from 1 -2 hours a day.

A good ol boy stuck in New York, like being a fish out of water... I love Auto Racing having been a race car driver myself, back some years ago in Vintage Sports Car Racing. A Sunday drive in my Porsche 911 is nurvana for me...I love NASCAR and most any motor sport, HAM RADIO is my favorate hobby and blue grass music just makes me happy. I just started learning the banjo which is something I have been wanting to do for years. To me life is not worth living if you don't have any interest or hobbies... I am married to a very loving woman who puts up with all my hobbies, I have a beautiful daughter, OH and my Wheaton Terrier, Charlotte, who just loves to hang out with me... I am into antique radio's and farm machinery, I love most anything old..Basicly I love life and trying new things. I am very happy to find the Banjo Hangout.... Always nice to know there are people with my same interest.
