Back in the 60's when I was about 14, I fell in love with the Jim Kweskin Jug Band, and their marvellous banjo player Bill Keith. I played clawhammer and old-time five string for a few years before taking off my fifth string in about 1975 to play plectrum, and I've been playing plectrum ever since.
