I have been playing banjo since around 1978 or 79. I have a wife Jan and two sons, Blake and Jeremy and two great daughters in law and four grandsons (and they are indeed grand!). I have a Ph.D. in Information Systems and teach at Southern Union State Community College in Opelika Alabama. I am also a Christian. I have just started back playing banjo again after almost a two-year hiatus due to a problem with my right hand (a focal dystonia with my thumb). During that time, I played fiddle and bass with my bluegrass band. Now, I get to do a little of all of it!
