Started playing guitar and drums around age 12 or 13. Started playing banjo at about 16 and was playing local gigs by 18 with a Dillards knock-off band called The Downing Boys. Started playing pedal steel after I got out of the Army and played steel professionally from ྇ to ྔ. After thirteen years playing in bars and honky tonks 5+ nights a week, I burned out and went to law school. I've been practicing law since 1993 and playing music mostly for fun.
