Playing Since: 2005
Experience Level: Purty Good
Interests:
[Jamming] [Socializing] [Helping]
Occupation: Artist
Gender: Male
Age: 40
My Instruments:
Leo resonated banjo, Gold Tone CC-100r with planetary tuners and I removed the resonator and shoes to just use as an open-back for frailing, a crappy Kay open-back that sits in it's case.
Favorite Bands/Musicians:
I'm primarily into jazz. I listen to mostly from the bebop era through hard bop and ending with the late 60s of avante-garde/free jazz and soul jazz. People like Thelonious Monk, Bud Powell, Art Blakey, Horace Silver, Grant Green, Jimmy Smith, ORNETTE COLEMAN, Eric Dolphy, John Coltrane, Charles Mingus, and the list goes on.
Check out my Jazz Blog.
This Shape of Jazz
For bluegrass and old-time and folk music I enjoy Charlie Poole, Hobart Smith, Flatt & Scruggs, Reno & Smile, J.D. Crowe, Jim Mills, Woody Guthrie, Bill Monroe, Stanley Brothers, Pete Seeger, Ramblin' Jack, and the list goes on.
