I've played bluegrass since 12. Played with many bands and great musicians. I even played on stage with Bill Monroe once. I play a 91 Gibson Scruggs Standard. I play Scruggs style, some melodic and chromatic playing, and am finally learning clawhammer after resisting all my adult life. I was taught banjo by EC Miller of Elizabethton, Tennessee. I live in Sevierville, TN, but I grew up in Bristol TN, an area of the Appalachian Mountain region with more great banjo players than any area in the US. I am the lead in The Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Show, where I also play banjo.
