Back to Work

Tuesday, May 29, 2007

It's the day after Memorial Day. Hope everyone had a great long weekend. Beth ( my wife) and I went over to John's ( mainejohn) house on Sunday afternoon. He was a very good host. We hung out for an hour or so, had a beer together, and he explained to Beth why every banjo player needs 13 banjos. Beth didn't bite, but it was great to hear a feel the difference in instruments for me. He also was gracious enough to let me borrow a soft Gig case for my old beater banjo to lug back & forth to lessons. I am obviously not at a point where I can jam with other players, but a few more weeks of practice and I will be able to play a song or two ( maybe).

Enjoyed talking and meeting new Hangout members this weekend.

That's all for now.

LIve in the beautiful state of Maine with my wife of 18 years and a house full of animals. Grew up in a home with lots of music. Dad plays guitar, banjo, and dulcimer. Both brothers play guitar. I played piano for years as a kid but of course did not stick with it. Am in the process of learning clawhammer. Would love to just hang out and jam, nothing too serious.
