I started out in music playing the trombone. From the mid 70's through the late 80's I made something of a living at it, supplemented by bartending and cooking jobs. I've been a clergyman since 1994, and took a 12 year sabbatical from music, until I picked up a used, aluminum pot Washburn. It kind of stuck to me, and I soon felt the need for a better instrument. I bought a Goldtone BG250, and played it for a little over a year. Then I found a used Gibson RB250 I liked. I'm pretty good about practicing daily, and my goal is to be able to hang out and jam...maybe even be part of a band, eventually.
