I began a classical piano player, starting lessons at the age of 4. I didn't play any other instrument (except violin in school orchestra) till I got to college at Texas A&M and I picked up the guitar. My sophomore year in college, I saw JD Crowe play and I bought the Mel Bay book and borrowed a banjo. Since then I've picked up the mandolin and fiddle along with the dobro. Piano and banjo are probably my main instruments, but I've been fortunate enough to get a little work with the rest also. I've spent the last 6 years in Nashville touring for different artists and writing at Sony publishing. I'm currently pursuing a band project with my two sisters. We're called "The Purple Hulls", and our first country/bluegrass original album is available on iTunes. It's called "Ten Thousand Exits". Check me out at www.BanjoBenClark.com . Thanks!
