I just worked a deal on a 2010 Yates RS mahogany. Any upgrades or other changes that I need to be aware of so I can start saving my money. If there are upgrades, do they make a difference?

Pretty much every banjo I've bought in the past I at least put an old wood bridge on, but not the Yates. It's all perfect, I think Warren told me that when he builds a banjo he matches the bridge to get the best out of it. Get a nice strap:-)
	rustyman says: 8/21/2014 3:53:59 PM Ragtimejoe, you won't be sorry you traded for the RS mahogany. I sold my early 2011 RS mahogany to someone else here in the Yates group back in May. I missed the sound and neck feel so much that I just traded for a 2008 RS mahogany. I got it yesterday and after following the setup advice Warren posted on here a couple or three years back, it sounds just like the 2011. His advice covered head tension, string gauge, tailpiece height, and coordinator rod tightness. I think it also mentioned taking the slack out of the truss rod. Look it up, it's a real help to know this stuff! Enjoy.
