Welcome to the "Old TIme Banjo Western Washington State"

From Tom Berghan on 1/29/2011 10:25:09 AM

Our geographical area is well known as a hot-bed of Old Time Music and yet many of us are unaware of each other's existance.  This Hangout Group is to encourage us to get to know each other and build friendships.

Any musicians (of any instrument and musicial style) are welcome, but the focus is intended to center on Old Time Music, but Bluegrass Jazz, and Classic players are most certainly welcome!  Clawhammer, Plectrum or Fingers (2 or 3), its all good!

Best Wishes,

Tom

Was hoping to find a WA group. Thanks for creating it. I'm from the Longview/Kelso area.

Just finished a week-long banjo workshop at Wallowa, OR, with the Wallowa Music Alliance. Anyone on the East side of N. End of Lk. Washington playing together? I just about have "Spotted Pony", "Sandy River Belle," etc. down. I'm in Kirkland.

Do you live in Kirkland? Your Bio days California! I'm about 45 to 55 minutes south of Kirkland. I live on the border of Covington and Black Diamond on Pipe Lake. I play all sizes of 5 and 4 string banjos and play fiddle as well.
