I went to a festival this past weekend and stayed with a friend who has a very impressive banjo collection. He has Nechvilles, Stellings, Gibsons etc... He even has a 1933 original flathead Grenada, which I played with out end all weekend. I love going over to his house to play all of his lovely banjos. But I must say, when I came back to my house and picked up my '79 Gold Star, I thought it sounded as good if not better than those that he had. I am sure that a lot of that has to do with the fact that the Gold Star is MY banjo, but I must say, I do love my Gold Star!
