OT jam in Rochester, 4th Sunday of the month, 2-5pm, at the Tango Cafe, 389 Gregory Street 14620, hosted by Wildroot String Band. Hope to see you there.

I went to this Jam for the first time weekend before last, and I'd have to say everyone was quite friendly and welcoming. It was a pretty big group there... I'd guess almost 20 people. I brought my banjo but not having much experience I pretty much wanted to just hang back and listen/watch. I was allowed to stay in the shadows, and while a few folks gave me sincere encouragement to join in I didn't feel pressured. Again due to my inexperience and a bit of shyness I didn't do that until the very end. I'll probably go again and will try to participate earlier on those tunes I feel I know well enough. Not my campfire, but I'd say it would be a shame if you didn't bring your banjo.
