I would just like to relate to you how myself and a few other fundraisers on Banjo Players United FaceBook page helped a child from Evansville, Indiana this Christmas..its rather a long story which began as a quest for information by her mother on what was the best banjo for a small 8 year old child....digging deeper we found a heartfelt story of a single parent mother and a child suffering with an illness and medical problems...all she wanted was a banjo..so we decided to step in and help this little girl with her wish.....cutting a long story short...and.not setting our targets too high ($300) we surpassed the amount by a long way so much so that we amassed over $500. We contacted Wayne Rogers at GoldTone Banjos with a view of purchasing a BG-Mini ...http://www.goldtone.com/products/details/w/instrument/72/BG-Mini-Bluegrass-Mini as we felt this was the right choice given the criteria...of which he did us a terrific deal inc. del....It is hoped to carry on this great work on a yearly basis and set up a charitable fund for kids on a year by year basis to perhaps encompass all the bluegrass family of instruments ....I am well impressed with the generosity of banjo folks around the globe and I look forward to many years of involvement with this group.....thanks for listening..if anyone would like to donate or needs further images and urls to this momentous event please let me know and I'll only be too pleased to supply them ...Regards C
