Hi, just joined and thought I'd say hello! After a long period of desire I managed to get myself an open back 5 string Banjo, and I'm very happy with it so far. Still getting used to tuning etc but would love some advice on some useful beginners rolls & chords to concentrate on? Cheers

Pretty new to all this myself as I've only been playing since October but if I can give you one bit of advice its to start using finger picks straightaway if you aren't already. learning without is fine but most people here will agree it is limiting and trying to learn to use picks later on puts you back for a few weeks! most of all though have fun, don't rush into things a banjo is for life so enjoy the learning as much as the playing later.
