Hello,

After a gap of several years, I've started playing my 5 string banjo again, clawhammer this time. I love the music, but playing has taken its toll on my finger nail, which is now thin and worn.

Wearing a pick feels clumsy, so I'm thinking of going to a nail technician to have an acrylic nail done. Any advice on pros and cons of this?

	Dibbo says: 3/29/2014 12:20:28 PM I wasn't aware of that, so will have a look. Thanks. In the meantime, I had an acrylic nail done as an experiment. Blimey, it's rock hard and so thick it feels like wearing a pick anyway!
