I'm a novice and looking for company to play with. Is there anyone out there, in & around the Hertfordshire area, who wants to get together and play old time/frailing/clawhammer?

	will1976 says: 9/9/2013 12:14:11 AM Maria I hope you manage to find someone, I have been trying the same in the south of Hampshire (but to no avail). I suspect that you are already aware of the wealth of knowledge that is on YouTube. Also, worth looking at Dwight Diller on YT. There are some of his DVDs for sale in BHO classifieds. There are also teachers on here who teach via skype. However, I have found this to be an expensive way to approach, so have settled for playing on my own, while building up the courage to attend a local pubs folk night. what ever path you choose, make sure that you follow the path that best suits you, so you don't stop playing. I play every day at home and have days dream of being brave enough to join a pub jam. I think the main problem on playing on your own is the whole timeing thing when you do eventually play with others but I suppose that will be all part of the journey. Thanks for the comments.
