Narrow escape

From Tortoiseface on 8/27/2013 1:29:31 AM

So my wife walks into the room yesterday to find my banjo lying face down on the floor still in its stand. The peg head missed a chair by about an inch. Snapped the bracket on my tuner which was clipped to the peg head but no other damage thank god. Turns out my pet tortoise whilst on a walkabout had decided to work his way under the back of my stand and tipped it forwards. I am trying not to take this a a personal attack or a comment on my playing by the tortoise but just in case I am going to practice a bit harder and find somewhere else to keep my banjo.

Damn right, you turn your back on them and then quick as a flash in about 2 or 3 hours time they are on their way to causing an inconvenience of some kind. Yep, it's staying in the case from here on in

Lol - that must be one of the most bizarre Banjo accidents ever. Good to hear no damage occurred to your jo, tortoiseface

Reminds me of this youtube.com/watch?v=gcT9DF68XJI (which I sing sometimes) along with "Will the Turtle be Unbroken" by Les Barker ; in both cases the plectrum connection comes into the lyrics.

No, put the tortoise in the case and the banjo back on it's stand
Joe, at least you'll know where they are safe and handy.
