I just wanted to add my thanks and observations to the UK group.

If you enjoyed it only half as much as me then you had a fantastic day.

I’d like to say a special thank you to Big Steve for organizing the event and to everybody who chipped in to help cover his costs for the hall etc.

Also a special thanks to Helen, (Mrs Joemac) for the endless cups of tea she made me. What a great lady.

Must mention Joemac and Ian Tofte for their willingness to share their skills and knowledge with everyone. I think their comments about the right approach to learning and the importance of good foundation with rolls and chords was probably the best bit of advice you could get.

Can’t forget Bob ‘the banjo’ Mclean here, for his input into the general picking and the big jam circle along with Joe and Ian.

Thanks again to Ian for his set-up work. I know a few people were really happy that he was willing to do this. Good on you Ian!

Lastly, it was a real pleasure to see old friends and make new ones. It made my day. I’m only sorry I didn’t get to meet everybody.

Like I said, What a great day. Looking forward to the next one.

Joe never met you before very impressed with your skill on the banjo,just like to finish by saying i hope its an annual event, and looking forward to the nicer weather and meeting you all again at some of the festivals
