So has anybody else managed to catch Punch Brothers on their current tour yet?

Every one of the band is just amazingly talented, and they're a delight to see in the flesh. Noam is just jaw droppingly skilled on the banjo.

They've had some decent crowds so far - although not too big in Birmingham I heard, sadly. Dunno why that should be?

Anyway, there are still a few dates left, if you're quick, and geographically blessed - bands like this don't come around these parts too often, and I'm sure every bit of support they get would be really welcome. They're a really nice bunch of guys too, and totally down to earth.

He didn't disappoint, he was great, as were the rest of the band. All super talented. Noam P' is up there with the best! Some of the music was a bit 'avant-garde' for me and I preferred it when they played material with a bit more of a Bluegrass or traditional kind of feel. But that's just my personal preference. We had a great night but if I had a choice of tickets between the Punch Brothers and the Kruger Brothers, I'd be in the Kruger concert. Luckily enough, I've managed to do both in the space of a couple of weeks. I'd be interested in any other opinions. Alan PS, still waiting for your next Remington Ride.

Amazing musicians, but (call me old-fashioned), I prefer it when it sounds like bluegrass. I think I must be getting old! Cheers Andy

I just wanted to hear SOMEBODY rip a solo for 5 minutes, and that never happened, it was more like chamber music. Brilliant though.
	Andyincov says: 11/14/2012 11:04:22 AM I agree 100 percent. However, there is a clip of them on youtube doing 99 years and 1 dark day and they certainly tear a few off on that one. It almost makes it worse though as you know what thay're capable of.....but not doing.
