Hi Gang: I'm an old YFM bandleader living in Nashville since '73. I led the Sandplum Strummers, the 'off-the-street' band at the Guthrie Jazz Banjo Festival for many years. I've been a train nut since birth [inherited from Dad]. My uncle was an engineer for the New York CentraI in Stoneboro, PA. I was a fireman on the C&NW back in '70 in Milwaukee and got to run all kinds of engines. More recently, I helped open the huge outdoor G-Scale railroad at Cheekwood Museum [Nashville] in 2011. I also operate a large Marklin HO layout in my basement. I am a member of Mid-South Live Steamers, a 7 1/2" club with an outdoor railroad in Columbia, TN. My favorite pastime--aside from strumming--is running locomotives of all sizes.
