Loved the photo's looks like where you live your lucky enough to see a wide varity of liveries. For me I have only the Norfolk & Southern RR. Keep the pics comin especially of UP equipment.

	TrainmanCSZ4UP says: 3/5/2011 5:10:24 PM Thanks. I guess I have been taking my location for granted a bit. I live with in a 20 mile radius of KCS, BNSF, UP, and NS tracks. Ten miles north of my hometown Amtrack makes an appearince each morning and evening. Which I always seem to miss when I have my camera. Or I catch without my camera. Than 40 miles west I can see BNSF cross the Missouri River at Sibely, Missouri. But the best part about my location on the map would have to be hearing the trains at night echo on the river valley. Heard one while typing this post. Im sure I will have plenty more photos of these liveries to come. Esspically UP which I frenquent the most.

Sometimes we stay in a Motel fairly close to othe tracks and I love it, sleep like a baby, although the trains interupt hubby 's sleep. I wonder why the difference?

His family lives right beside the tracks and had to adjust to a train every 20 minutes. They where dumbfounded a few years back when I spent the night how easy I fell asleep and wasn't disturbed by the "noise" and ground rumbling.
	vintagewells says: 3/9/2011 10:18:21 AM Funny too. I totally slept thru a major, major thunderstorm that woke everyone else up. They all stood around watching me sleep, amazed! The next day everyone was talking about it and no one believed that I slept through it. I had eye witnesses! But if one of the dogs starts making that sound that preceeds barfing, I'm up and pushing him out the door instantly! I guess stepping in something nasty in my bare feet, is more frightening than getting zapped by lightning in my bed. Go figure. the sound of a train passing by is comforting, I am find it peaceful.
