Since Stew-Mac doesn't make resonator banjo kits any longer, I had to assemble all the parts to build one from their large inventory. I am currently working on it and hope to have it finished by mid February 2011. This is my first banjo project, and it will be built from unfinished maple parts. I chose Honey Amber dye and used nitrocellulose lacquer.

	Lachlan says: 2/2/2011 5:39:38 PM I must confess to cheating on this project- I'm buying a custom neck from Hickler Banjos. I'm thinking about doing a simple headstock inlay before I dye and lacquer it, though. I could use some mentoring, though.
	Diamond Eagle says: 2/3/2011 9:01:57 AM Lots of good resources here. It's really not all that difficult, you just have to take your time. Good dremel bits and a router base also help a lot.
