Hi everyone,

I'm Tom and I live in Inverness. I am a raw beginner with a tuned banjo and not much else but the desire to play like Earl Scruggs! Of course!

I don't know a lot about Bluegrass...almost nothing but I know I like what I have heard and I really want to make this sound myself. I'm looking for any advice, contacts, lessons and support I can get in the area.

I build and play 3 string cigar box guitars and play harmonica in Delta Blues-ish style...all by ear. I have no musical training or book learnin' at all but I'm keen.

Please drop a 49 year old, overweight, ex pat American, wanna-be picker a line if you think you can help me to move closer to marriage counseling via the banjo!

	banjoboy1935 says: 3/26/2013 1:53:33 AM Hi Tom, If you play other instruments by ear and this works for you then Murphy Henry's videos will probably suit you. She has 'by ear' lesson material for the raw beginner and follow on videos of Earl Scruggs banjo standards.
