Is anyone heading to the Scottish bluegrass Festival this year? Me and my mandolin pickin' buddy are hoping to go and do some campsite jammin'.

Thanks for adding the info. Can't tell you how much we're looking forward to getting to meet some other Bluegrassers. Am I right in thinking you're the banjo man for Goldrush? If so I'm keen to hear you play live, and maybe pick your brains for some playing tips.

Thanks John, I think I'll try get up for a day anyway. We're playing Lomondfest the week after, and camping there , so wouldn't be able to do the full guildtown weekend. I have heard its a great festival though. Cheers Garry

I can't play much myself but I would love to hear talented bluegrass players playing some good music right here in Scotland. I actually never been to a Bluegrass festival, even back home. I'm gonna save up money so me and my girlfriend can go. We currently live up in Caithness. I wonder what the camping option is, if that means you can camp with your trailer or if there's a place to crash. Well, I see a telephone number, I'm gonna give them a call tomorrow. If any of y'all go, it would be nice to meet you folks there, so keep in touch. And thank you for posting this here.

Just a quick note to say that the full Guildtown programme pdf can be downloaded at scottishbluegrass.com along with all the info on the campsite which welcomes tents, motorhomes and caravans along with details of bands, concerts and workshops. We have some really fabulous banjo players in the line-ups. Mike Scott who played with Jim & Jesse and is currently with our headlind band Wayne Taylor & Appaloosa. We also have Zdenek Roh from CZ republic and he is an 'awesome' banjo player. Both of these top bands play astounding Bluegrass
