Long Scale length

From Oldpiper on 11/9/2011 6:56:33 PM

I started on the banjo at 73 about 3 years ago. The only problem age has jumped up and bit me is the standard scale length and my left shoulder. And, in my infinite wisdom, I've bought two of them in the past couple of months. I guess my brain isn't working right either.

I can certainly understand the 'left shoulder' situation. Arnica works pretty good for me. I can also understand the 'brain not working right'. After the shoulder began, I bought a long neck. 'Age' doesn't necessarily equate to 'wisdom'............but aren't we having fun!

Glad to see I'm not the only one who has an age-related problem. But, if it wasn't for the banjo I'd probably go nuts. Love 'em.
