I sure hope this group takes off, there's no better incentive than the encouragement & camaraderie one can get from fellow musicians playing at the same level. I've only just begun my journey with the banjo and can only play one song with any level of proficiency (Boil 'em Cabbage). When I get the nerve, and my fingernail grows back, I'll post a video. I'm struggling with "Down In the Valley" now.

	Makehay says: 5/27/2016 11:56:23 AM Sounds like me - I have Cripple creek down fairly well but everything else I try to play slowly turns into cripple creek.....

My goal is to learn how to play something that is recognizable by my next birthday (70). Lesson #3 is tomorrow and I think I have the bum-diddy thing figured out... but it still sounds awful. BTW the photo of me I posted is "cleaned up Dave'... I give talks on cruise ships... hard job but someone has to do it. Cya
