what's the cost? It looked like a camp site also. Any info?

For future reference... Bass Mountain (now called Lil John's Mountain Music Festival) is always held twice a year. Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend.

a 3 day pass is $75 otherwise it's $20 Thurs. and $30 Fri. and Sat..it is a campground and we'll be there the week before for our setup..and I said the 'may' festival indicating the first one.

If you order a 3 day pass in advance, it is only $60. Not bad!

Do the ticket prices include camping? I didn't see that info on their website. Considering coming for my first festival experience...

Jackson Lee says:
3/7/2011 10:36:41 AM

yeah it does..it says under gate admission 'includes primitive camping'..we're gonna go early to set up..if you want to get a good spot going early is your best bet!

Dan Mountjoy says:
3/7/2011 2:36:44 PM

Thanks, Jackson -- Would there be any chance at finding a spot at all if we didn't get there until Saturday am?

Jackson Lee says:
3/8/2011 5:33:39 AM

it depends on what you're bringing.if you have a camper it's best to get there early..with a tent, you may be able to find a spot with no problem.and are you talking about the last saturday or the saturday before?because that could change what I said completely haha

Dan Mountjoy says:

The Saturday of the event itself (last Saturday, I guess). I'm actually thinking of living in the back of our minivan -- pop the back up and stretch a tarp over it...anyone seen that kind of setup before? I suppose crazier living arrangements have been made!

Jackson Lee says:
3/8/2011 6:17:50 PM

haha yeah i've done that before...this year is different for us though...we have gone totally redneck.we bought a schoolbus and converted it into a camper! its almost completely finished..used to tent camp but last summer did us in when it got so hot.

Dan Mountjoy says:
3/9/2011 5:39:40 AM

Cool! Is it going to be decked out with a Martha White theme? Someone has a school bus for sale not far from our house, and I've joked with my kids about buying it for camping. We have a tent, but it's kinda big/awkward to set up for me and (perhaps) my son. I'd have to recruit a couple folks to help!

Jackson Lee says:
3/9/2011 9:18:01 AM

lol we always had to have a group effort for tents..now we can just roll up and park..it's great! :D

Prof~ you'll fit right in @ a festival with the minivan setup. I'm plannin on sleeping in the back of my old 4runner (praying the motor is back in it before then) on a air matress or shoot I might just stay up all night lol. Who needs sleep!

Preddyfest did yall in on the tents didn't it Jackson? It was hot as the devil's drawls up there last year. I had to leave bout midnight from up there just when the picking got good. So I'm tryin to stay one night at least to jam and leave the next day.

Turns out I won't be camping but do plan on coming out on Saturday -- good luck in the competition, Jackson. Hope to meet lots of you!
