September 2015 marked four years into this banjo journey. 18 months now using the Murphy Method following Murphy's Beginning Banjo Track. I had been learning Foggy Mountain Breadown and having trouble with the timing especially towards the end. That lick open 4, 2-3 hammer on 2 then roll1,5,2,1,5. Three days ago, I finally got it while playing along with the slow with guitar version, slowed down more using Audacity. On top of that, I was able to play Banjo In The Hollow with a 70 BPM backing track from the. BHO archives courtesy of Eric Schlange. Small steps I know, but, a breakthrough for me.
