I was learning Foggy Mountain Breakdown from Beginning Banjo Volume 1 when the computer I use for lessons had to be sent in for repair (thankfully it was on warranty). I thought I had learned all the licks to the low break so I kept practicing without having the lesson available for review. In the last phrase the hammer with the two forward rolls didn't sound right and I was able to figure out what I was doing wrong by ear and correct it. Fast forward two weeks and the computer is back. I review the lesson and have all the licks to Foggy Mountain Breakdown correct. I do think it will be a long time before I get the timing and speed to match the slow with guitar part section of the lesson. It just felt like one of those moments you want to share. Keep picking.
