I have been working on Easy Song for Banjo. On Old Home Place, Casey plays some nice little vamping/backup variations. Where do I learn how to do that? By the way, this is one of the songs that made me pick up the banjo. Really enjoying it!

	Mario Rimoldi says: 7/19/2013 10:59:41 AM She does it through the whole DVD , I think it's some boogie woogie variations , I just keep watching it and play along it to it, but I am sure it is some advanced back up technique.
Tam_Zeb says: 7/19/2013 11:52:52 AM Hi Carey Murphy's - Vamping Beginning Banjo DVD and Casey's Beyond Vamping Fancy Backup DVD covers most of what Casey is playing - Casey also does a standard roll over a sixth or seventh chord in the middle of the progression. Watch how her thumb hooks the fifth string and listen carefully for the note on the fifth string.
