Have you ever heard a version of Cluck Ole Hen that comes even close to Frank Proffitts interpretation?

I just love the sound he gets in this tune. I have tried to duplicate it without success!

	C Nyal de Kaye says: 7/25/2013 4:28:05 PM I have an old tape with that song on it, that's all. There is a snippet of it at last.fm/music/Frank+Proffitt/_...k+Old+Hen and iTunes also have it. It is probably the same version that I have. Sorry that I can't be more helpful Chip.
	chip arnold says: 7/25/2013 4:34:31 PM Oh thank you, that's good! I like the descending slides and the sound of his olf banjo. I've played a couple of his banjos. The ones I played had (I think) a section of 6" stovepipe for a stretcher.

	mutantmoose says: 12/30/2013 7:22:42 PM One thing that makes it different is the banjo he used. He had a really long scale banjo for those recordings - when I measured it, it was 28" long, and he was using steel strings on it at the time.
