Long Neck prices still falling

From darwinyarwin on 11/24/2016 11:17:59 AM

Saw on ebay where a Gibson RB-175 with orig. chipboard case just sold for about $450 plus shipping, Granted the neck had a repaired crack, and the case was in so-so shape, but this close to Christmas that was a very low price. Even Vega Folklores and some Seeger models are going at bargain prices. Makes me sad.

You're right about the long neck prices. Seems us old folkies are becoming scarcer and scarcer.

Well it's a pity for those selling longnecks - but for those of us buying - yippppeeee!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my long neck folkie friends. Spent all the time I've been with BHO discovering long lost long necks that I coveted during my folk group days and filling my collection. Not an investment so I am not bothered by dropping prices. I would like to see another folk music era. To me, the long neck has always been background for vocals, ala Dave Guard and John Stewart.
Indeed, there are fewer folkies out there, but I am proud to be one - surrounded by the banjos and guitars of the folk era. To my fellow folkies, proud to know you!
