charliea says: 9/17/2015 9:26:04 AM Thanks for the kind words. I prefer the tubaphone also but the RB-180 is no slouch, and cost $1K less. I think it's a matter of setup. The Gibson wants it's original plastic head back, and heavy vs medium strings. Anyway, I just bought my "holy grail" 12-string, and the Gibson has to go to fund it. It's got to be about the nicest RB-180 on the planet, great Lifton case, original bracket wrench, all original banjo, even original bridge, all in excellent plus condition, excepting some minor metal tarnishing. Soon as I take some pics it'll be in the classifieds for $1495 shipped.
