Work has been a bummer and doing a lot of stuff for veterans but still here and still playing!

Happy Thanksgiving to all at BHO as well, especially the Long Neck Banjo Group. This is only my first year in BHO and I have enjoyed the brotherhood, wisdom and remarkable insight into the most improbable topics! Thanks, Tony, for administering this special group. Thanks to all who have joined me as friends. I follow all of your links every day. Sadly, Pete Seeger died this year reminding me to be aware of the existing knowledge and skills remaining in BHO. Thanks to those who worked in the trade whose memories answer the many questions of banjo history. Thanks to the craftsmen who continue production of beautiful instruments, accessories and components of banjos. To me, the banjo is the most adjustable instrument ever . . . but what to do? Only through this website, can a player acquire a lifetime of knowledge from so many! You have made my retirement, surrounded by my acoustic instruments, most enjoyable.

I've enjoyed my time on BHO. I learned a few tunes "bluegrass style" back in the 70's but was always mostly a guitar player... I played professionally for many years. The last couple of years I've really focused on Clawgrass style and just recently started messing around with the longneck.. I really enjoy it. I'm very thankful to all the BHO family for the willingness to share, comment, teach advise and even at times critique a bit when asked! What a wonderful thing to be part of! Blessings to you all and may you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I do "I've just seen a Face" because of Arlo.
Take a look at That's The Ticket Roadhog, by Fred Starner, Banjo Fred on the hangout before he caught the westbound.
I am thankful for that movie and the clip on YOUtube. It's a true story.
Fred was on the Clearwater with Pete, and crew. They swung in the rigging together.

I was volunteering pollution lectures, unofficial USCG NYC and I ALMOST met Pete..... :(
