Does anyone remember or still play STAMM Kentucky model longnecks?

They were made in Oregon, Illinois, sold to Richelieu,I heard. They were available by mail order only,
$30 for a paddlehead. As a folk group, we bought ours in '63 from an ad in 'SINGOUT'

I have acquired another Longneck, I've had a STAMM longneck for 50 years. Still straight.

The one I acquired has carpet tacks for spikes, missing inlays and tuner holes really off whack, BUT she's straight and probably going on the Bamboo #001 rim. I have some stumps I want to pull.

I have the original brochure, it will take a few days for me to get photos together, but it's really amazing that one would come to me accidentally, thanks to Martinsindian, he's on the hangout.

Anybody else have one, Walnut center, two Maple stripes, and Honduran Mahogany.

And please coach me on how to post pictures here, I've been too busy to learn. Help.

I was 14 ...didn't realize I was supposed to put an overlay on it and cut out a peg head shape so I used it "as-is" for a year or so till I went out and purchased a Seeger Vega.

	raymond66 says: 8/13/2014 8:02:36 AM After I purchased the Pete Seeger Vega in 1964, I gave the Kay with the Stamm paddlehead to a friend so he could be a banjo player too. No idea what happened to the banjo....can't remember to whom I gave it. I doubt that it survived.
