It is beautiful...and top of the line (or close to it). It isn't really "solid Brazilian" though...that would imply a one piece neck. This neck is stronger and less prone to twist than a one piece. Somebody babied her though!

She'll be here in Boulder in a few days---I'll take her over for Chuck to have a look-see and maybe find out how many he made like that. We all known that the Brits made most, if not all, of their 5-strings with the 5th through to the peg head. In some ways that makes sense with no peg on the side to go all wonky on you.....but more work routing the neck and some frustration if you're used to a neck peg.
I'm thrilled to have this beauty come home to Boulder where it will be played on the Bricks where it was born.

The oddball ODE arrived last Saturday and is indeed pristine and original in every aspect except for head and strings. A bit hard to tune with SEVEN pegs up there onnthe top! Fun to play, though, with that superb aluminODE pot.
I'll let everyone know what Chuck says when I have time to take her up to him.
If you own an ODE with a zero fret, let me know so we can "zero" in on when Chuck started adding them.
