Hi all. so I have a chance to pick up a John Grey Long neck for a very good price. just needs new tuners . I'm aware these are very basic but I wonder is there any way to spruce it up a bit. maybe add a tone ring or similar.? I've only found 1 video on YouTube so it's hard to get a good idea

Personally, I’d be hesitant to add a tone ring unless I just happened to have one laying around that just happened to fit perfectly without any rim modification.

	snowleopardbf says: 12/10/2023 5:36:24 PM Just make sure that the truss rod is adjustable. That way you can adjust the action. For long necks I recommend a fiber skin banjo head.
