New banjo

From cheatinheart on 4/19/2023 10:01:04 AM

Hey guys I'm here in Ohio and have gotten away from my long neck banjo Because I'm in a wheelchair and it was inconvenient to play but I miss the tone. So not only did I grab my Long necks out of the corner but I purchased a  Gibson 175 It should be in about the 20th when it is i'll let you know how it sounds. I might even attempt to do a video or two. Take care of my friends and if anybody's in Ohio Don't you just love this weather. Tom

Hey Tom, if the LN is a challenge, think about sliding the pot to the side if possible? It will then resemble a regular length neck?

So what’s a fair asking price for a 175? I have my original 63 that I paid $125 for new!

That does work Tony thank you very much i've 10 been playing A long neck for about 10 years but when I got stuck in this wheelchair three and a half years ago I had a problem because if I swung real fast I could knock things down so I had quit now I have just got rid of everything that's on the Long neck level laughing out loud. And Hank I just paid $705 that included taxes and shipping and I grabbed it Because I thought it was a good buy mine's a 1964 Looks to be immaculate I will know more tomorrow or Sunday i'll let you know maybe I can even post some Pictures. You guys have a good summer, and maybe we'll even bump with each other at one of these Bluegrass or country festivals. I found a motorized wheelchair about 2 weeks ago and I think I found a van with a wheelchair lift then I'll be mobile and go to these events. Take care of my friends Tom

A fine post, I'm very happy to see this. You are already mobile with us here, and very near at all times. With this music and this implement you have shown that limits might not even be there.
Fast Heart Mart is here with us.
He formerly played guitar as a busker.
Now he plays a Longneck on the street all the time.
He makes more money.
But I'm sure many of us agree it ain't the money, it's the honey.
Go forth and crunch the Darkness.
The Dark is afraid of us. ( ):)===='==::}
