Here's a bluegrassy version of this fiddle tune in which the A part is in A major while the B part is in A minor. It took me a while to figure out that this is an easy tune when played on a long neck banjo. This tuning, (eAEACsharp) which is is simply double C with no capo, makes it easy to shift from major to minor simply by moving between the 2nd and 1st frets of the first string. This version also works well for what is a pizicato lick in the fiddle version at the start of the B part--a long bow stroke across the strings followed by 2 plucked notes.
