John Pearse John Hartford "Low D" Strings

From Sean ONeel on 1/1/2017 3:22:04 PM

Mike Halloran mentioned these a few days ago...so I bought a few sets from Just Strings.

After putting a set of Prucha co rods in Princess Joy today (the Silver Princess pot with OT-800 neck) and tightening her down I installed a set.

They are PLENTY long and the 12 - 14 - 20w - 24w -12 gauges are just perfect. My previous favorite has been GHS PF160...I still like them but the 20w and 24w 3rd and 4th in the Hartford set just work.

Give them a shot!

Sean, We are fortunate, indeed, to have someone with Mike Halloran's experience, sharp memory AND willingness to share on BHO. There are others as well who share. I am grateful for everyone of them, but Mike Halloran has been there and done that more than most!

As an update I should mention that the 20w 3rd string does not like being tuned to E. The first one broke after putting the instrument down for awhile and then fine tune. I replaced with another 20w which this time broke straight away. I ended up replacing with a plain 16 which works just fine.

Linked by jbakervt 2 years ago: The religious basis of authority in the Middle East (or anywhere for that matter) is the source of a lot of suffering and is unsustainable. The violence is mostly perpetrated on women and children.
