Just curious. Talking to Arthur, he mentioned that his banjos usually take a couple of weeks to a couple of months to "open up". What have you all found with yours, specifically the Celebrity models? And coming from a newbie, how do you know that it has "opened" up?

	From Greylock to Bean Blossom says: 3/12/2016 6:05:38 PM Mine sounded good from day one and it sounded a better as time went on. I do not know if to attribute that to me getting more used to the banjo or it changing but I do know that I like the sound of it every time I pick it. ken
	Banjo Lefty says: 3/12/2016 8:41:19 PM About 6 weeks after I got my Special, I noticed a decided change in the sound. It was fuller, with even more overtones, and greater sustain. Not that the banjo didn't sound great from day one, but when it opened up it was really noticeable.
	PKM says: 3/13/2016 7:02:16 AM I'm in the same camp as Greylock; my Hatfield sounded terrific the day I got it, and hasn't stopped sounding great. There may have been a slight increase in fullness, but I attributed that to the head settling in. Also, some of us may experience differences in this due to different woods. My Hatfield Custom is mahogany.
jato109 says: 3/14/2016 7:17:45 AM yep - loved my celebrity from day one! right off the starting line it had excellent tone; great highs, good lows, very nice sustain. however, i've gotta tell ya; after about six weeks or so, one day (rather suddenly) this banjo flat awakened. like turning on a bank of flood lights - wow - omg - dang. it grew up overnight becoming a paint peeling vertuoso - a whole new level of BANJO. and, shes a real piece of eye candy.
