Have any of you played both the Special and the Celebrity and what would you say the difference is? I'm making my decision tomorrow........about whether or not to pull the trigger. I might not sleep too well tonight.

I've never tried a Celebrity or a Special, but the Special is walnut, and my experience is that most walnut banjos tend to be a little heavier because it is a denser wood. The exception I've run into is the Nechville Athena, it is made from a walnut species that I'm told is lighter than others. Happy selection!
