Any advantage/disadvantage to having Arthur put Keith D Tuners on a new Hatfield banjo? Same holes as the normal Gotoh tuners, right?

	RTWhite says: 12/16/2013 7:52:20 PM I'll check it out. He has them on his website. I guess the advantage is obvious, as far as capabilities are concerned (in the future, when I can play AND use a D Tuner), but I wonder if there are any disadvantages.

	eagleisland says: 12/17/2013 6:08:42 PM No major disadvantage as long as you use them.. I had them put on my Hatfield (D-tuners 2&3, conventional tuners on 1&4). The Keiths are brilliantly smooth, precise and hold tune beautifully - with one exception: they REALLY don't like sudden changes in temperature. All bets are off in that event... I asked Bill Keith 'bout that once, and he acknowledged that it happens and he hasn't been able to solve the problem.

I had heard about the temp change issue. Does that affect them if they're not actively being used, or just once you want to use them?
