I finally done it , my celebrity is being built. I have followed Hatfield banjos for some time,but I admit I am somewhat disappointed that it took me so long . Being only 2 hour drive or so away - I look forward to the day it is ready but with some guilt. The drive will be one of excitement and sorrow - because I won't get to meet the woman behind the man. Bev was the embodiment of southern hospitality, the stories I have heard about her gracious greetings. My Hatfield will be part of her heritage as it is coveted and pass down to grand children. Each time I play I'll fly away I know I will get to meet her some glad morning. Bluegrass forever.

It’s going to seem like a looooong few months of waiting now. I’m very excited. Nothing like waiting on a new banjo to make you feel like a kid again. Lol Speaking with Arthur on the phone was a real pleasure. He’s definitely one of those people the world needs more of. Truth is,,,I’ve never even seen a Hatfield banjo “in person” before. I know there are other builders that make incredible banjo’s the are pleasing to the eyes as well as the ears. And they are built by some super great folks too. But in my research I watched Arthur’s posts on the hangout as well as videos on YouTube and I just sort of “connected” to his humility, honesty, and his integrity as he spoke about his banjos. I listened to the YouTube videos of folks playing his banjos and they sound just as great as the competition. IMO. Again, congrats on your Celebrity order! I look forward to being a fellow Hatfield owner soon! Dale
