I would like to say a great big ( as Ralph would say ) HOWDY to you all and I am very happy to be here. I have been playing Bluegrass Banjo for eeeeeek 25 plus years and without question, the BEST sounding Banjo I ever had was an old Gibson Ball bearing.

In fact I am just looking for either a late 20's Archtop ( 40 hole or solid ) a Ball Bearing, must have a Wreath inlay !! Also considering a Stanleytone if I can locate one for sale.

	revellfa says: 4/6/2014 6:04:21 PM No question about it. It's an acquired taste but to me it's the best sound. I've been playing for about 28 or 29 years and I have finally found my sound--the ball bearing rocks!
